Jay Walsh is currently hiding out in San Francisco during the pandemic and recording songs for an upcoming solo album. He’ll be back out playing some shows when the powers that be say it is safe to hit the road!
Last week the New York Times ran an article that details the film Windows on the World and the movie is currently stream for free at Vix.com. You can check out the song Walsh co-wrote for the movie called Inside of Us All that features David Hidalgo on vocals and Charlie Musselwhite on harmonica.

A video for the song “Inside of Us All” that Jay Walsh co-wrote is out now. David Hidalgo from Los Lobos recorded and sings on the song from the movie Windows on the World. Charlie Musselwhite also plays on the tune! The film features Edward James Olmos.

Check out the Windows on the World film soundtrack that is out now on Rope-A-Dope records. Jay Walsh co-wrote the song “Inside of Us All” which is sung and performed by David Hidalgo of Los Lobos. Charlie Musselwhite also performs on the track. You can preview the song here. There is a video for the track in the works and we’ll post it here when it’s out.
Jay is currently in the studio in San Francisco finishing up his new solo album which will be out in 2020!

Jay Walsh will be heading to the East Coast and playing live in Cambridge, MA at Atwoods Tavern on Saturday May 18 opening for Chuck Prophet. It’s an early matinee show starting promptly at 4 p.m. Advance tickets have sold out however there will be a handful of ca$h tics available at the door at 2:30 p.m on the day of the show.

A song called “Inside of Us All” that Jay co-wrote with novelist Robert Anderson recently made its film debut in the motion picture “Windows on the World” at the 2019 Sedona Film Festival. The song was sung and recorded for the film by David Hidalgo of Los Lobos! Here’s a review of the film from the festival in Sedona, AZ.

Sharing the stage was writer/novelist Robert Mailer Anderson, Rhett Miller, comedian/writer Paul F. Tompkins, actor Shiloh Fernandez, and legendary harmonica player Charlie Musselwhite!

The Douglas Fir's new album "California Memory" will be out in fall of 2016. The twelve song album was mixed by Brad Wood (Liz Phair, Pete Yorn, Sunny Day Real Estate, Ben Lee) in Los Angeles and will be available on 180 gram vinyl, compact disc, and as a digital download.
The album was recorded in Boston and San Francisco. Test pressings for the vinyl just arrived last week and sound warm and loud! You can pre-order the 180 gram vinyl and CD's here. Stay tuned for for news soon.
